Land of Fire

Sinopsis
This performance looks at the current conditions of the South European forests and documents the experiences of the people that live in areas that have been consumed by violent fires in recent years. Do all the forests in Southern Europe have fires of the same magnitude? What can be done to defend and diversify South European forests? This performance looks in particular at the brutal fires that hit Portugal in 2017, a year in which 500,000 hectares burned and more than a 100 people died.
