Synopsis

After the show A Mina, Hotel Europa presents the new creation Tribunal Mina, which is dedicated to problematising the environmental problems created by the deposit of toxic waste from Siderurgia Nacional, in the São Pedro da Cova coal mines, and tries to find out how this environmental tragedy could happen. Staging a "theatrical" court made by the population of São Pedro da Cova, to once again analyse one of the biggest environmental crimes committed in Portugal. In this trial, experts in environmental crimes, lawyers, journalists and members of the local population are heard as witnesses. Tribunal Mina creates a form of social justice for this population through artistic action. The participants in this show are non-actors, inhabitants of São Pedro da Cova.
