Synopsis

Roselyne is the first original work of Cécile de Costa, a performance that combines genres and explores memory, loss and the emotional lives of women who devote themselves to others, sometimes forgetting themselves in the process. Inspired by the true story of Roselyne, a woman who died of cancer, and by other women in similar situations, the performance weaves together personal narrative and universal reflection.

In a minimalist space, Cécile inhabits a fragile yet resilient body with her firm yet trembling voice. The action unfolds around a central sofa and a simple vase of flowers, with subtle movements evoking intimacy, absence and contemplation. Roselyne is a performance inspired by documentary theatre: it transforms lived experiences into a poetic, physical and emotional exploration, inviting the audience to connect with stories of care, dedication and quiet courage.
