O tempo de baixo o tempo de cima ou o mundo está a girar is the first solo album released by Mariana Camacho, a gatherer of words and sounds, who presents her electric and human, celestial and earthly—and somewhat surrealist—universe in a concert, based on traditional songs and original compositions. The songs are intertwined with other songs, other languages and quotes, small influences that awaken new layers of meaning.

O tempo de baixo o tempo de cima ou o mundo está a girar is a reflective and restless journey through the points of intersection between the local and the global; the real and the dreamlike; the drive of life and death, power and subalternity; the legacy we receive and the one we will leave to those who come after us… Through her songs, Mariana engages in the exercise of expanding into the world and concentrating the world within herself, in an attempt to find her place within it. To discover her place – our place, as a voracious species, on a burning earth.
