Synopsis

We start with literature to find the voice, with the body in relation to space to find the scene. We start with the life and work of Artemisia Gentileschi, not to fix her in the past, but to make her echo in the present.

To know Artemisia is to rethink the pages we have been given, the images we have constructed, the reality we thought possible. It is as hopeful as it is devastating. Knowing what she did changes one’s perspective. Knowing how she was erased is a shock. Realising that it could be today, that anything could be today. Four centuries, four hundred years later.

Admission is subject to reservation and capacity at each venue, by donation (Admission is subject to booking. On arrival, we will ask for a donation of €0, €3, €5 or €10 in cash (we do not accept card payments or MBWay).pay what you wish).
