Documentary Theatre Workshops

The Children of Colonialism

Description

This is a free workshop aimed at people with no theatre experience, born after 1975 and whose families had a direct relationship with the former Portuguese colonies. One of the objectives is to find the next performers for the project The Children of Colonialism.

We are looking for children of former soldiers of the Colonial Wars; children of former Portuguese settlers who lived in some colony during the colonial period; children of people who belonged to the liberation movements of a former Portuguese colony; children of African parents who emigrated to Portugal in the 60s, 70s or 80s.

We are challenging multidisciplinary performers who are comfortable with autobiographical work and documentary theatre to tell personal and family stories on stage, with movement and improvisation.

Participation is free upon prior enrolment.
