Documentary Theatre Workshops
Eastern Loves
Description
Aimed at people with or without experience in theatre, this workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn more about working processes in documentary theatre and one of its objectives is to find the next performers for the Eastern Loves project.
Eastern Loves investigates the relations that Portugal, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Angola and other former colonies maintained with countries from the Eastern bloc of Europe in their struggles against fascism and colonialism.
We are looking for interpreters or stories from their relatives who took part in these struggles, who studied or worked in Eastern European countries during the communist period in Europe until 1989.
We are challenging multidisciplinary performers who are comfortable with autobiographical work and documentary theatre to tell personal and family stories on stage, with movement and improvisation.
Participation is free upon prior registration.
