Documentary Theatre Workshops

Description

Aimed at people with or without experience in theatre, this workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the processes of working in documentary theatre and one of its objectives is to find the next performers for the project Children of Evil.

We’re looking for performers or their family members’ stories about the Estado Novo (children of members of the national assembly, the national women’s movement, censorship, PIDE, the Portuguese legion, army officers, judges).

We are challenging multidisciplinary performers who are comfortable with autobiographical work and documentary theatre to tell personal and family stories on stage, with movement and improvisation.

Participation is free upon prior registration.
