with André Amálio and Tereza Havlíčková

Description

This workshop will explore documentary theatre from a multidisciplinary perspective, drawing on the company’s creative disciplines, such as theatre and movement.

Participants will be invited to share family stories and compare them with their country’s history. If you have any old family photos you can bring, that would be great, but it’s not required.

With this workshop, Hotel Europa continues to push the boundaries of what documentary theater can be, while also sharing the knowledge gained by its artistic direction with other professionals and non-professionals interested in this area of artistic creation. This is an open-level introductory workshop on documentary theater that explores the artistic language that André Amálio and Tereza Havlícková have been developing in recent years through a creative process that blends theater, movement, devising, improvisation, autobiography, and family stories.
