Documentary Theatre Workshop

Description

In this workshop, we will work on documentary theatre from a multidisciplinary perspective, practising the company’s creative disciplines, such as theatre and movement. With this laboratory, Hotel Europa seeks to continue pushing the boundaries of what documentary theatre can be, as well as disseminating the knowledge gained by its artistic direction to other professionals and non-professionals who are interested in this area of artistic creation.

This is an open-level introductory workshop on documentary theatre that explores the language that André Amálio and Tereza Havlíčková have been developing in recent years. A workshop that mixes theatre, movement, devising, improvisation, and autobiography in a relationship that explores the personal stories of the participants against the backdrop of the themes of land and sea.
